You cannot mistake the charming and slender Chinese Crested for any other breed due to their spotted pink skin, spiky “crested” hairdo, hairy socks, and feathered tail. This playful, incredibly lovable companion dog is undoubtedly a breed unto itself. The Chinese Crested, a vivacious and perceptive toy breed that stands 11 to 13 inches tall, can have hair or be coated. The skin of the hairless species is smooth and silky, and it has tufts of hair on its head, tail, and ankles. A smooth, silky layer covers the coated type, often known as the “powderpuff.” The powderpuff and his nude brother are hardly distinguishable from one another save for the coat. Both kinds exhibit delicate movement and fine-boned elegance. As entertaining as they appear, crests are playful, affectionate, and devoted to their owners.
The benefits of being hairless include the absence of canine smell and, obviously, reduced shedding. Both types make considerate housemates who are completely attuned to their families.
